To gain entry into SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy, it is preferred that the candidate has completed:

• Year 12 or equivalent education and have completed SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services.
• Successful completion of a pre-enrolment Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment and interview is essential for success in this program.
• Minimum of IELTS 5.5 score for international students.

To gain entry into SFI30119 Certificate III in Aquaculture, candidates require:

• Employment with a suitable aquaculture enterprise
• Trainees must have an existing work contract

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

• Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 60*.
• Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation course.
• Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.
• Defence members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:
  • Navy: Seaman, Able Seaman, Leading Seaman
  • Air Force: Aircraftmen/Aircraftwoman, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal
  • Army: Private, Lance Corporal, Corporal
• Current School Leaver Pathways:
  • Best of 3 Year 12 subject grades
  • School recommendation program

Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills to undertake this qualification; this includes:

• the ability to read, write and interpret a range of documentation
• computer literacy to research the internet, send/receive email and produce word-processed documents

Consideration will also be given to applicants that do not meet the University's minimum entry requirements who have relevant professional experience and knowledge in Indigenous work.
