About this course

Chisholm will not be able to commence new students into the Bachelor of Community Services in 2021.

Recently, La Trobe University and Chisholm have taken the difficult decision to cease taking new students into the Bachelor of Community Services. The COVID-19 pandemic has led Higher Education providers to evaluate all courses and delivery options and many universities, including La Trobe, are renegotiating their partnership arrangements to ensure ongoing viability. We leave this page so current students have access to information. If you complete the enquiry form, we will keep you informed should circumstances change.

At Chisholm's Dandenong campus you can complete a La Trobe University Bachelor of Community Services. The Bachelor of Community Services is available to students who have successfully completed an ACWA accredited Diploma of Community Services, including Chisholm's.

On completion of this bachelor course you'll gain skills and knowledge in areas such as community development, psychology, sociology, case management, education, counselling, family violence, child protection, human rights and advocacy, manage diversity and communication.

This qualification may lead to employment in roles such as youth worker, case manager, child protection worker, family case worker, or domestic violence worker. These roles may involve supervision of other staff and volunteers.
