The Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences will equip you with practical skills in the various disciplines relevant to exercise and sport sciences such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, health and sport psychology, motor control and learning, and exercise prescription and delivery.
You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes and mechanisms of the human body as they relate to exercise and sport science and have the flexibility to pursue an area of interest, and can choose a minor in biomedical sciences, management and business or secondary teaching. Your studies will include a mix of theory and hands-on laboratory experiences so you can apply what you have learnt directly into practice.
The Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences includes work-integrated learning placements giving you exposure to real workplace environments. During these placements, you will apply skills learned throughout the course and gain practical experience conducting exercise assessment, prescription, and delivery for a range of populations. You may choose to study by online study while working in the industry, allowing you to earn and gain practical experience while you learn.

After you have applied and enrolled in this course, you will need to be able to meet the Security and Health Requirements as these generally relate to work-integrated learning activities that form part of your course. You will be provided with more information about security and health requirements after enrolling in the relevant units that these relate to.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory to be eligible to attend a WIL placement for this course. Students will be required to provide evidence of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination schedule by the closing date prior to a WIL placement. The vaccine received must be a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia.Entry RequirementsEnglish (Units 3 & 4, C) or equivalent

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion within the last 5 years of:

Additional vaccinations may also be required. This will depend on the type of placement site and the site location, as different states have different vaccinations regulations and requirements. For instance, students who undertake placement in remote Australia may require the Hepatitis A and Japanese encephalitis vaccination. Placement in Western Australia and Northern Territory require students also have the MRSA - Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus vaccination before commencing placement, and some states also require students to have the Influenza Vaccination (some states have this as a requirement and other states this is recommended but not mandatory).
