About this course

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes. Participants will learn the basics of health and safety, risk management, communication, planning and preparing to undertake a task, hand and power tool operation, measurements and calculations.

This is a nationally recognised accredited course.

You will be required to supply your own steel-capped boots, jeans and a long-sleeved cotton shirt for this course. If you have any questions in relation to PPE please email stn@cqu.edu.au.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements. It is recommended that students have a sound knowledge of Year 10 Maths and English.
