The Diploma of Business in the Digital Age will provide you with the skills in business and technology identified as priority areas by the Federal Government to support businesses to grow and evolve in more uncertain environments across a range of industries.
This course is offered as part of the BHP Future of Work Advanced Apprenticeship program and has been designed with the input of local business and industry stakeholders to address local skills shortages in the Bowen Basin and Mackay region.
You will gain a unique and differentiated opportunity from your peers in traditional higher education courses. As an advanced apprentice, you will spend most of your time learning in the workplace and working closely with a supervisor and university staff member who will support you in completing tasks aligned with your role and your business needs. You will undertake problem-based learning and apply the solutions to an authentic workplace problem. You will have the opportunity to gain crucial lifelong learning and transferable generic skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving and apply these skills to various employment opportunities and life situations.
The Diploma of Business in the Digital Age course is available to approved students under the Future of Work program - Advanced Apprenticeship only.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.

The Future of Work advanced apprenticeship program is a work-based program combining higher education with employment to support skills development and upskilling that is tailored to the needs of regional businesses. Skills in business and technology are increasingly needed across a range of industries to support businesses to grow and evolve in a more uncertain environment. Business and technology skills have been identified as a priority. The Federal Government estimates that 87% of jobs across all sectors in Australia require digital literacy, with data and digital skills the fastest-growing emerging skills.
