The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification reflects the role of an Educator who is responsible for implementing a learning curriculum within an Early Childhood sector. Upon completion you will be qualified to work within the requirements of the Education and Care National Quality Framework.
This is a nationally recognised accredited course.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory to be eligible to attend a WIL placement for this course. Students will be required to provide evidence of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination schedule by the closing date prior to a WIL placement. The vaccine received must be a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia.
Entry Requirements
Required: Completion of bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
Ability to complete vocational placement component for the duration of the qualification with a minimum of 240 hours.
Ability to obtain a Suitability Card (Blue Card).
Pathways: On completion of CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, opportunities to access higher level degree qualifications exist within CQUniversity.
CHC50113 is embedded into the first year of the Bachelor of Education course with CQUniversity.
Occupations include but are not limited to: Early childhood educator; Family day care educator; Family day care Coordinator; Service Director/Centre Director and Out-Of-School Hours Care Coordinator.
