" What made you apply for Crawrford School?
I always wanted to study at ANU. I've always been interested in Asia and the Pacific, and as you saw in my undergrad, I did Japanese and Indonesian. And I always tried to focus my international relations studies, to do with Asia and the Pacific, so ANU was the place Asia and the Pacific for me. So I wanted to come down here and do my post grad. I was looking at a few different courses here, and into Master of International Relations, Master of Diplomacy, Master of Asia and the Pacific.
When I heard about the Master of Public Policy, I thought, that gives me something that's quite substantial when I go to a government department and say, 'look, I've got a master's in public policy'. And when I saw that Crawford was doing specializations, and I saw that it was a specialization in foreign and defense policy, I was really excited because those are two of my passions.."
