Undergraduate Certificate in Geography

The Undergraduate Certificate in Geography is designed for people who are interested in pursuing a career in geography. This Undergraduate Certificate may enable entry (and credit for the four units completed) into the Geography major within the Bachelor of Arts program, among others at Curtin.

• apply principles and concepts of geography in a variety of contexts relevant to further learning and/or paraprofessional work
• apply critical and creative thinking and problem solving skills relevant to geography to generate innovative solutions to problems
• use technology appropriately to communicate geographical concepts to experts and non-experts
• consider global perspectives on geography and international geography standards
• demonstrate respect for Indigenous values, cultures and knowledges and consider Indigenous perspectives on geography
• work professionally in teams and independently, and demonstrate life-long learning skills
