Certificate
Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. Regardless of our age, gender or socio-economic status, good physical and mental health is our most essential asset.
In this course, you'll learn how healthcare fits within culture and society, exploring perspectives on wellbeing, illness and disability.
You'll gain foundational insights into ethical decision-making, and safety and quality in client-centred care. You'll also gain knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as an understanding of the role empirical evidence plays in decision-making in health practice.
This course is a great way to explore a career in health sciences. And because you'll study part-time, and with a choice of online or on-campus study, you'll be able to fit your study around your lifestyle.
After completing this course, you'll qualify for entry into our Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences). You'll also be eligible for credit for the four units completed, which will reduce the overall duration of the degree course.
