About this scholarship

Curtin Student Guild Childcare Grant is a SSAF funded program designed to assist Curtin students who experience an occasional and  unexpected childcare need and because of this, place their children in childcare while attending class, practicums, exams, supervisor meeting etc.

Value

The maximum available value is currently capped at $1,000 per applicant per semester. The grant can only be used to purchase services supplied by an Australian Government Department of Human Services approved provider.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible students must:

  • be enrolled at Curtin University
  • be the primary carer for a child under the age of 12
  • be on low income or in receipt of a means tested Centerlink benefit
  • have an unexpected need to access childcare services in order to satisfactorily meet the current study commitments
