You may choose to work for a major construction company, for a boutique building group or even for yourself one day. You'll learn about the six key streams of the plumbing industry, including core and specialist areas from water to drainage, mechanical services to roofing and more. Once you finish this course, you can sit for the Victorian Building Authority's Registration level exams to become a qualified plumber.
To gain a licence in a specialist area of plumbing eg. gasfitting, roofing, mechanical services, sanitary, drainage & water you will need to undertake selected study in selected Certificate IV in Plumbing units.
If what you have learned at work, from other programs, courses, from life experience or training provided at work is relevant to this program, you may be entitled to gain subject credits or exemptions. The University is obliged to recognise the AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other registered training organisations.
