Civil engineers are responsible for the design and construction of all types of structures including single to multi-storied buildings, roads, dams, bridges, pipelines, towers, harbours, airports and railways. Civil engineers also plan, design and test the infrastructure associated with transport, gas supply, water supply and sewerage systems.
