Social Work is a career for those who are passionate about making a difference in the world. This course will give you the knowledge, skills and values required for effective social work practice. You'll graduate prepared to work in a range of contexts, including government, not-for-profit and private organisations.
Accredited by the Australian Association of Social Work, our Bachelor of Social Work will qualify you to work as a social worker in a range of health and social welfare services.
Graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Indigenous graduates and students can join a network of Aboriginal social workers through Indigenous Allied Health Australia, which centres on Aboriginal professional practice.
In accordance with AASW requirements, students are required to attend the Bedford Park campus in South Australia for 20 days of face-to-face learning, focusing on practice skills. This is taught in intensives so that students in regional and remote areas and interstate can travel to attend.
