About this course

You will develop an understanding of urban planning and environmental science issues. You will learn about planning-related issues such as land use and regional growth management, transport planning and community development. You will also learn about environmental issues of land and water management, ecology, conservation biology and pollution. In your first year, you will be introduced to key concepts and theories in urban planning and environmental sciences. From your second year onwards, you will take professional planning courses, and in fourth year you will undertake an industry placement and work with a professional planning practitioner. Honours In third year you have the option of transferring to an honours program and doing an honours research project, if eligible.
