Admission requirements for all applicants
Supplementary Application Form
The Supplementary Application Form is used to identify entry options into the Bachelor of Hospitality Management. Applicants have the opportunity to include information about previous studies and work experience.
For applicants with no prior hospitality industry or educational experience, the form will be used as the sole basis of information (along with ATAR if relevant), with a follow-up interview generally not required. However, if an applicant would like the opportunity to be interviewed, a request can be made through the contact details included on the Supplementary Application form.
Interview
Based on a review of the supplementary application form, some applicants will be asked to attend an interview with a representative of the BHM team.
This is to verify information in the supplementary application form, such as prior work and educational experience. Applicants will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the course structure and how it might apply to them. Discussion at the interview will cover placement opportunities and specific areas of the hospitality industry the applicant is looking to pursue.
Applicants should bring along academic transcripts. They are also welcome to bring a support person. Requests can be made for a teleconference for any applicants unable to attend in person.
Applicants will be contacted by Holmesglen to organise a suitable interview time. Interview details will be confirmed by mail or email and are generally conducted within two weeks of receiving the supplementary application form.
