Entry requirements

As this is a traineeship delivery, all students must have an employer and a valid Traineeship Contract in place prior to commencement.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.

These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

What you will learn

During this traineeship, you will acquire knowledge of the best work, health, and safety practices. You will also learn how to use tools correctly and gain insight into the materials you will be working with.

You will understand the job, and what is required of you and learn to effectively communicate with your workmates.

This traineeship's core units will meet the requirements, and provide credits toward most Certificate III qualification apprenticeship courses in the building and construction trades.

You will gain an understanding of building skills and principles and be exposed to common scenarios you will experience on the job.
