Certificate
The Certificate III in Arboriculture provides you with the necessary skills and knowledge that, when combined with workplace skills, will enable you to perform the function of an arboriculture tradesperson.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training students will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining their suitability to the course, verify training plans, and identify any learning support needs.
To undertake as a traineeship, you will need a training agreement with a registered employer from a relevant industry.
You will practise pruning at Holmesglen at Eildon and gain practical experience in bush, rural and metro settings. Training camps are also held throughout the program to support the development of practical skills.
We also provide courses for industry that are delivered at various times throughout the year, including but not limited to, chainsaw operation, tree felling and trim and cross cut training.
Other skills sets related to the arboriculture industry may be delivered on request.
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
