The Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying is the ideal course to kick start a career in the construction industry. While studying bricklaying and blocklaying at Holmesglen, you will receive hands on training from industry experienced teachers.
You will gain practical experience on full scale projects and learn everything from laying pavers to the more advanced skills such as chimneys, arches and various decorative works.
To enrol in the apprenticeship delivery program, all students must have an employer and a valid apprenticeship contract in place prior to commencement..
It is recommended you have completed Year 11 or equivalent and have a minimum of Year 10 English and Mathematics.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
You will gain practical experience on full scale projects and learn everything from laying pavers to the more expert skills of curved walls, arches and decorative works.
You will train in excellent training facilities, acknowledged as the best in Victoria, and gain practical experience on full-scale projects.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
