Certificate
The Certificate III in Clothing and Textile Production is delivered as an apprenticeship model in a clothing production environment, where the target cohort has full-time access in their workplace to specialised sewing machinery, cutting and pressing equipment, and performs multi-skilled operations and processes of a routine and repetitive nature.
There are no formal entry requirements for this training product, however learners must meet the eligibility requirements set by the host employer and have an active Epsilon contract entry into the program.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training applicants are required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training review. These will assist with determining suitability to the course, verify the training plan and identify any learning support needs.
You will learn to operate equipment productively and take responsibility for specialist machines or processes where the work is mostly predictable and the emphasis is on safety, efficiency, process control and problem solving.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
