Certificate
The Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing provides a trade certificate in waterproofing for the residential and commercial construction industry. In this course, you will gain an understanding of waterproofing standards and best industry practices.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be at least 16 years old. It is recommended that prospective students currently work in the construction industry or in the wall and floor tiling industry.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
You will learn to prepare surfaces for waterproofing. You will also learn about waterproofing tools, equipment, processes, products, and different techniques used in the waterproofing industry.
Furthermore, you will learn how to apply waterproofing in a variety of internal and external settings, such as balconies, roof gardens, below ground, and also remedial processes.
Teaching and assessment will be in a simulated environment covering all aspects of the waterproofing industry.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
