Certificate
The Certificate III in Flooring Technology specialising in carpet and vinyl installation provides comprehensive training, delivered both on and off the job, to ensure you develop the most up-to-date knowledge and skills required to become a professional floor covering installer.
As this is an apprenticeship, you must have a training agreement with a registered employer from a relevant industry.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and to attend a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Holmesglen has been training flooring technology apprentices for over 15 years. Training is delivered in our specially designed facilities, with a focus on providing hands-on, practical training.
You will become proficient in the installation of a variety of carpet, vinyl and underlays, including tiles, in both commercial and domestic premises.
Flooring technology will see you working in both domestic and commercial sites and on renovation projects.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
