Certificate
The Certificate III in Flooring Technology (Carpet) specialising in carpet installation provides comprehensive training, delivered both on and off the job, to ensure you develop the most up-to-date knowledge and skills required to become a professional floor covering installer.
To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.
As this is an apprenticeship, you must have a training agreement with a registered employer from a relevant industry.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training applicants are required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training review. These will assist with determining suitability to the course, verify the training plan and identify any learning support needs.
You will become proficient in the installation of a variety of carpets and underlays, including carpet tiles.
Flooring technology will see you working in both domestic and commercial sites and on renovation projects.
Holmesglen has been training flooring technology apprentices for more than 15 years. Training is delivered in our specially designed facilities, with a focus on providing hands-on, practical training.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
