The Certificate III in Flooring Technology (Timber) specialising in timber installation provides comprehensive training, delivered both on and off the job, to ensure you develop the most up-to-date knowledge and skills required to become a professional floor covering installer.
To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and to attend a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Holmesglen has been training Flooring Technology apprentices for over 15 years. Training is delivered in our specially designed facilities, with a focus on providing hands-on, practical training.
Training in this stream focuses on the installation of timber, parquetry, laminate and bamboo flooring, including restoration of original timber floors.
Flooring technology will see you working in both domestic and commercial sites, and on renovation projects.
Holmesglen offers flooring technology apprenticeship training in four streams. Apprentices can seek overall knowledge and skills or focus solely on specialty areas: General, Carpet, Timber or Resilient.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
