Certificate
The Certificate III in Painting and Decorating will give you the practical skills to work as a residential or commercial painter or decorator.
To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.
Holmesglen requires all learners to be engaged in a painting and decorating apprenticeship. You must be signed up as an apprentice with your chosen employer and have an Epsilon number stating Holmesglen is your selected training provider.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
You will receive comprehensive training in painting and decorating across all practical and theoretical aspects of the trade.
You will learn hands-on skills from teachers who are industry professionals, in specialised facilities tailored to provide the best educational environment. You will learn the skills an employer needs.
The training you will receive could lead to employment in areas such as paint application, timber staining, wallpapering or conventional spray painting.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
