The Conduct Roller Operations is a 40-hour program that covers the knowledge and skills required to safely operate a roller from the preparation and planning stage to shut down.
- Construction Induction Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
- At least 6 months' work experience in civil construction or relevant industry
- Current employment in relevant industry and referral from employer
- Meet LLN entry levels.
A pre training review will be conducted which covers the entry requirements.
The program includes
- Understanding and following work instructions, procedures and other requirements
- Hazard identification and implementation of controls
- Selecting and inspecting a roller. Responding to faults
- Operating a roller to perform designated tasks
- Making the roller safe at the end of the shift-Stowing equipment
- Reporting
The program and assessment cover the theoretical and safety knowledge that underpins these activities as well as well as opportunities to practice and demonstrate all the skills and required tasks
