This Restricted Electrical Workers Licence-Class2 (Refrigeration and Air-conditioning) short course is designed for people needing to disconnect and reconnect equipment associated with their primary trade, vocation or occupation, such as licensed tradespersons or people holding a relevant Certificate III or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning qualification.
The Restricted Electrical Workers Licence - Class 2 is applicable to people employed in a primary work function where there is a need to disconnect/reconnect electrical equipment that is incidental to their primary function.
Before enrolling in the course, it is recommended that you contact Energy Safe Victoria to assess your eligibility for the Restricted Electrical Worker's Licence - Class 2.
You will be required to provide a copy of the course acceptance letter issued by ESV confirming eligibility to undertake this program.
Safety gloves
All learners in this program are required to wear Insulated LV rubber gloves when carrying out practical tasks. Gloves will be available for learners to use during the program.
Learners who prefer to bring their own gloves to the course, must ensure these are Insulated LV Rubber Gloves with a minimum rating of 650 volts and a pair of leather outers for mechanical protection.
A course acceptance letter issued by ESV confirming eligibility to undertake this program.

This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out low voltage electrical installation work relating to equipment that is connected to a fixed electrical installation associated with a primary trade or occupation.
This course is suitable for plumbers working with refrigeration and air-conditioning, and relevant tradespersons working with composite equipment.
On completion of the program you will have the training required for the Restricted Electrical Licence (REL) through Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).
Restricted Electrical Workers Licence training is available for other trade areas/ESV classifications.
