Holmesglen Vocational College offers a one year VCE VM Senior program for 17-18 year old's, focused on developing their employability skills in a supported vocational setting, using hands-on learning to ensure new skills and knowledge is learnt in a way that enables you to be able to apply these learnings to real life situations.

Holmesglen Vocational College offers a one-year VCE VM Year 12 program for 17-18-year-olds who have successfully completed year 11 and are ready to complete year 12 in a positive and supportive learning environment at Holmesglen. The program focuses on developing employability skills and utilises applied learning to ensure that new skills and knowledge are acquired in a way that enables you to apply these learnings to real-life situations.

Entry requirements

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training the learner will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.

This will assist with determining their suitability for this course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs they may have.

Preferred candidates will have completed either year 11 VCE or VCAL Intermediate (at Holmesglen or an alternative recognised provider)

What you will learn

This course is aimed at students who have completed Year 11 VCE or VCE VM want to make the transition to an adult learning environment to finish their final year of Senior Secondary.

The course explores a variety of projects and sees students engaging with the community. A graduation ceremony celebrates students' achievements. Students have the opportunity to gain a sense of belonging within a new, supportive and rewarding environment.

Credit for prior study or work

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
