Learn the Tools of the Trade

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of tasks on vehicle bodies in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

In this course you may choose from several streams including paint and panel preparation, vehicle dismantling, vehicle glazing, window tinting and vehicle preparation.

You will need to have an employer in this industry to sign you up as an Apprentice/Trainee.

Please note that not all elective units listed are delivered at Docklands campus. Your Training Adviser will negotiate and discuss the units on your training plan with you and your Employer.

Can I Apply?

This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.

If you are enrolling in this course as part of a traineeship, you must have employment in the relevant industry before commencing the course. You must be registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network and have a signed training contract.

If you are enrolling in this course as a Non Trainee you must have employment in the relevant industry before commencing the course or have extensive experience in the industry. Pre Enrolment Interview required.

Non-Trainees will be offered a position based on their past experience and ability to source additional skills practice.

You will need to have an employer in this industry who is willing to sign you up as a Trainee. Then you must contact an Australian Apprentice Support Network office to register and sign a training contract.

Non-Apprentices will be considered once interviewed and industry experience is established.

Non-apprentices will be offered a position based on their past experience and ability to source additional skills practice.
