This qualification provides the skills and theoretical and practical knowledge for work or further learning in the conservation and ecosystem management industry. The qualification provides for work roles encompassing a broad range of skills, or can be focused on one or more specialisations, including:
Individuals with this qualification perform a range of conservation and ecosystem management activities including, site restoration, rehabilitation and renewal and management of the rural and natural landscapes, degraded sites and marine environments. They contribute to the preservation and maintenance of wildlife and their habitat in the natural ecosystem, parks and reserves. Activities frequently involve working with and preservation of indigenous culture and heritage resources.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Can I Apply?
Recommended that you have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills to undertake this course or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course. An interview with teaching staff will commence as part of the enrolment process.
Applications from mature-aged students with work experience in a related field are encouraged.
As all of our course delivery features a combination of on-campus and remote (online) learning and we use a online Learning Platform we highly recommend for all students undertaking the course that they have a suitable and stable internet connection, have access to a portable device ie laptop to be able to access classes, class and learning materials and upload assessments.
Must have employment in industry before applying for this course.

How Will I Be Selected?
All applicants for this course will complete an assessment to evaluate their language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills and pre-training review. This helps to ensure that you enrol in a course that is the right level of study for you.
As part of the application and enrolment process you will be required to meet with one of our teaching staff to undertake an interview to determine your suitability, career outcomes and work history.
