Can I Apply?

There are no set prerequisites for this Certificate IV in Information Technology (Programming) (ICT40120) course. However it is recommended that you have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills to undertake this course or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course. OR You may apply if you have satisfactorily completed VCE or an approved equivalent course and the satisfactory completion of the work requirements (eligibility to transfer); or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course. (Mature age is anyone over the age of 18 who has been out of full-time education for more than 12 months.)

How Will I Be Selected?

A Pre-Training Review and Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment is part of the Kangan Institute application process. Candidates should attain a Level 4 LLN. Candidates who do not achieve this level may be offered a place on the condition they will undertake additional foundation studies.

It is recommended that applicants without robust computer experience complete Certificate III in Information Technology prior to attempting this course.

The course is subject to staff and student restrictions relating to COVID-19 as per current policy of Kangan Institute and government legislation.
