About this course

Agribusiness has historically been a driver of economic growth in Australia.   With rising Asian demand for food and fibre the agribusiness sector has the potential to once again be a major driver of economic growth in Australia. This agribusiness course provides you with an introduction to animal and agricultural sciences, land and water management, as well as a study of management, marketing and finance applied to the particular needs of agribusiness industries. A major feature of the course is a series of four agribusiness subjects, each delivered at a different campus, which will provide you with a unique insight into the range of issues faced by agribusinesses of different regions of Victoria.   In effect the course takes you on a state-wide tour of regional Victorian agribusiness industries and communities, where you will meet and talk with local agribusiness and community leaders. A second feature of the course is its work integrated learning subject which will provide you with the opportunity of completing an agribusiness industry based practicum, where you will get the chance to apply and demonstrate the skills you have acquired through the course.
