About this course

The Honours program is a year of study that builds upon the knowledge and experience gained in your Human Nutrition degree. Honours in Human Nutrition aims to provide students with research skills to enable them to independently conduct a research project, in their chosen area and report the findings of their work in a scientific format. The skills and capabilities gained in this year-long program include independent thinking, critical evaluation of literature, selection of appropriate study designs, practical application of nutrition research methodology and tools, data analysis and interpretation, as well as oral and written communication of research findings. The choice of project will be organised by the student in consultation with your potential supervisor and the DTN4HNA and DTN4HNB coordinator. The Honours program is of approximately nine months duration and commences in Semester 1. The coursework component aims to develop competency in research methodologies.
