This 10-hour online program is designed for midwives and maternal and child health nurses who are keen to explore research in a midwifery context. Through this course, you'll develop an understanding of the key features of data collection methods and data analysis used in qualitative and quantitative research.

You'll learn to apply the appropriate research design and methods to specific clinical and social issues related to maternity care and practice. You'll also gain an understanding of some of the key ethical considerations to ensure that research is safe, respectful and high quality.

You'll cover the foundations of evidence-based research and the principles of data collection that underpin evidence based practice.
