The Diploma of Sports Coaching and Development prepares graduates for a career in sports coaching and development. Graduates will develop foundation skills and knowledge in sports development, athlete development, business and coaching, including talent identification and game development. This course is offered in partnership with Carlton Football Club as part of the Carlton College of Sport. Students completing the Diploma program will also be completing a non-academic sport program (strength and conditioning, nutrition, other sport-related activities) with the Carlton Football Club. The Diploma of Sports Coaching and Development is a pathway to progress to university level study in Sports Coaching and Development, Sport and Exercise Science and may provide credit towards study in some allied health and sport management courses. The course requires the completion of 120 credit points over one year of full-time or equivalent part-time study.
