Professional Certificate
The Professional Certificate in Education (Positive Behaviour and Learning) meets the professional learning needs of teachers working with students with concerning behaviour, particularly those with disabilities.
You will explore research-validated interventions that promote positive learning and behaviour, and consider how you can better understand student behaviour and its impact on learning.
The course provides you with practical opportunities to investigate functional relationships between environment, learning and behaviour. You will be asked to reflect critically on classroom implications for promoting positive learning and behaviour in professional practice.
There is a particular focus on curriculum approaches to support students with additional needs, and on the function of challenging behaviour.
This course is for educators who are working students with behaviours of concern, particularly those with disabilities.
