Learn at the forefront of conveyancing education

Melbourne Polytechnic is the first TAFE to offer PEXA training with certified PEXA trainers as part of the Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing BSB61115. Knowledge of the PEXA platform is essential to the conveyancing industry and our trainer will teach you all of the necessary functions, from placing caveats to settling properties. You'll be taught by qualified conveyancers and lawyers, with the experience to mentor you through your course. This course has been developed with industry to meet the compulsory educational requirements set by the Business Licensing Authority Victoria, to assist your application for a Conveyancer License.

The first step to owning your own business

This course provides all of the education you'll need to be qualified to work as a conveyancer or conveyancing clerk within a conveyancing or legal practice. With an additional 12 months work experience under an Australian legal practitioner or licensed conveyancers, you'll be able to apply for a Conveyancer Licence and operate your own conveyancing business.

Entry requirements

There are no prerequisites for individual units of competency. However, to meet the demands of the program you are required to have an effective and highly developed:

  • command of written and spoken English
  • communication, documentation and research skills
  • computer skills for web use, word processing, presentation software and email

Credit for prior study or work

You can seek Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where your work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL is individually assessed based on evidence submitted by the student to the teaching department. Applications for RPL will be assessed by relevant Melbourne Polytechnic trainers, academics and where appropriate, industry experts.
