Get experience in the industry before you graduateThis degree aims to get you industry-ready, and you'll train in contemporary and traditional methods of farming. In your core areas of study you'll learn all about agricultural systems, technologies, strong business principles, practical sustainable practices and climate change impacts. You'll gain the necessary licences to operate machinery and vehicles on working farms and you'll learn how best to incorporate sustainable practices, both business and practical, into your agricultural career. Sports Turf Science and Management major graduates might work as a golf course or turf wicket curator, a bowling greenkeeper, a sporting venue groundskeeper or consultant, an irrigation assistant or even within local government or independently as a consultant, specialising in the growth and maintenance of recreational turf, preparation of sports playing surfaces or recreational and sports turf facility management.
