Learn essential skills on the latest technologyMelbourne Polytechnic's unique offering focuses on practical learning and job-ready skills. Our industry-experienced teachers will train you in best practice for education and medical administration, including transferable skills, such as scheduling, digital document production, spreadsheets, record-keeping and more. You'll also learn specialised medical administration skills, including medical terminology and how to use the latest versions of PracSoft, the software used in medical practices.
Generalise or specialise - the choice is yoursYou'll graduate from Melbourne Polytechnic's dual qualification with the essential skills and knowledge to gain employment within administration in any sector, and with the specialised skills necessary for medical and education administration. You might work as a medical receptionist, a hospital ward clerk, a junior personal assistant, a receptionist, or an administration assistant. This unique qualification provides a solid foundation to develop your career in education or health administration.

You'll graduate from Melbourne Polytechnic's dual qualification with the essential skills and knowledge to gain employment within administration in any sector, and with the specialised skills necessary for medical and education administration.
You can seek Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where your work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL is individually assessed based on evidence submitted by the student to the teaching department. Applications for RPL will be assessed by relevant Melbourne Polytechnic trainers, academics and where appropriate, industry experts.
