Melbourne Polytechnic's LEA - Licensed Electrician Theory (LET) Assessment is one of three assessments that all electrical workers must pass to be granted the A Grade electrical licence. The licence is issued by the regulatory body Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).

The three assessments are:

  • Licensed Electrician Theory (LET) Assessment - 2 hours 15 minutes (including reading time)
  • Safe Work Practice (SWP) Assessment - 50 minutes (including reading time)
  • Licensed Electrician Practical (LEP) Assessment - 4 hours (including reading time)
LEA Paper or Face to Face Reviews

Participants who are unsuccessful in passing an assessment may apply to receive a paper based view.

A paper review has to be issued before, a face to face can be organised.

  • Face to Face cost $99.00
