About this course

Overview

Learning geography is the first step to understanding and addressing global challenges such as overpopulation, climate change and ecological hazards. Learning economics helps us to explore how we manage and use resources at a local, national and global level as well as the distribution of wealth and its flow and impact on different levels of society.

With this qualification, you can teach Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) in Secondary Schools from Years 7 to 10 as well as specialising in both geography and economics at Year 11 and 12 ATAR level. You'll be able to educate students on the importance of place, space and their connection to the world around them.

As part of your studies, you'll participate in lectures, tutorials and a range of practical placements.

3 reasons to study Education at Murdoch
