Overview

This course provides science graduates and food industry employees with the opportunity to develop a suite of theoretical and practical skills while working in a real food processing environment at the Murdoch Food Centre which is part of the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA).

You'll learn hands-on from experienced academic and food industry leaders to give yourself a competitive edge in the industry. Successful completion of the Graduate Diploma can provide an option of progressing onto a Master of Food Science.

Entry requirements

Bachelor of Science in a cognate discipline (AQF Level 7). Other AQF Level 7 qualifications will be considered if they are broadly relevant to food science and contain units in biological or chemical sciences, at the discretion of the Academic Chair. OR Successful completion of the requirements for C1170 (Graduate Certificate in Food Science).
