Overview

If you receive excellent results throughout your undergraduate Law degree, you may be eligible to undertake Honours in Law.

This is an additional year of study designed to further the knowledge you've developed throughout your undergraduate Law course.

Working closely with an academic, you'll undertake an intensive research project on a topic of your choice, and further develop your research ability through an advanced research skills unit and some additional coursework.

Entry requirements

Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a Distinction average, subject to the availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the Honours Academic Chair. Students interested in Honours enrolment are advised to contact the Law School Honours Academic Chair before application to discuss supervision of their potential research.
