Our weekly painting course is a fun, engaging and relaxing environment where you will meet and work with like-minded people. The course is suitable for beginners, hobbyists and artists, where you can work at your own pace under the guidance of an art lecturer.
Throughout the seven weeks, you will learn the basics of colour theory and explore a variety of painting techniques and skills in order to create your own artworks ready to hang. Demos will also be shown on canvas stretching and ways to present your work. We will also look at many other types of artworks by various artists for inspiration and use a variety of painting mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, pastels, ink and oils. After the exploration of paints, colour and techniques you are free to work toward a final painting/s where you can choose your preferred mediums and techniques.
There is also the opportunity to work in the art studio aside from set class days, however you will need to organise this with your lecturer to work out a suitable time to come in.
