This course thoroughly prepares you for roles in this dynamic industry. You'll study planning, marketing and management strategies, developing the skills you'll need to organise and run corporate events, conventions, meetings, festivals, music performances and many other events.
With our close ties to the tourism, hospitality and events industries, you'll also complete a 14-week internship that will provide invaluable experience for a career in Australia and abroad.
Graduates undertake a variety of professional positions such as event planning, conference organisation, concert production, festival direction, talent management, and sponsorship coordination.
While the course has no majors, students study areas including festival and special events planning; event operations management; facility and risk management; production planning and management; and convention and exhibition planning. The course has a strong focus on the convention, conferencing and event industries.
Professional positions in conference organisation, trade fair and exhibition development, event or destination marketing, corporate meeting planning, event and concert production, festival direction, event planning, and/or sponsorship coordination.
