About this course

The 22510VIC Course in Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk provides an accredited training program and vocational outcomes for a person in universal services role to identify the presenting risk of family violence for universal service users and provide a response appropriate to the role of universal service professionals. Participants undertaking the course will be professionals who do not have family violence as a core function of their role. These professionals may encounter victim survivors (including children and young people) and perpetrators through their interactions with children, families and/or adults within their work at universal service organisations such as schools, early childhood, justice, community and health services, sport and recreation organisations and faith-based institutions. This course also provides the foundational understanding of family violence and risk needed for further levels of specialisation.
