About this course

The Diploma of Conservation and Land Management will equip you with the practical skills required to pursue a career at supervisor or manager level in the Conservation and Land Management industry. You will gain knowledge and skills in; the management of natural and cultural assets, identification and management of weeds and pest animals, identification and protection of populations of threatened or endangered animals, developing relationships with local indigenous groups, freshwater ecology, plant identification, data collection, report writing and understand the legal and policy framework for conservation and natural resource management.

Entry requirements

This course is best suited to learners who have completed a lower level Conservation and Land Management course, or have relevant industry experience. Students will undertake a Pre-Training Review that will provide valuable information about existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
