About this course

This course is delivered through Swinburne Online. Swinburne Online delivers Swinburne University of Technology programs designed to meet the needs of those who are unable to undertake on-campus study. These programs have been specifically designed for online delivery and support.
The Bachelor of Education offers a three-year degree that does not qualify students to become a teacher but rather provides the opportunity to gain an understanding of education as an academic discipline in Australian teaching and learning contexts. The degree is comprised of compulsory and elective units of study. In this regard, the flexibility of the degree allows students the opportunity to choose electives which match the variety of education environments and develop skills for the future education workforce. The course enables graduates to work within the field of education at a policy or governmental level but without an accredited teaching award.
