About this course

The Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship - Bricklaying aims to provide students with training similar to that of a first-year bricklayer's apprentice.

This course is mostly about giving you exposure to the work, equipment and expectations you will face. You will complete broad-based training in bricklaying and blocklaying, covering hand and power tools, terminology and design. You'll also gain valuable knowledge about the industry and career opportunities.

Being a trained pre-apprentice will give you an advantage over non-trained applicants when applying for either apprentice or trainee positions.
