About this course

The Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management provides training, skills and knowledge relevant to the conservation and land management industry. The training is industry focused and field-based which provides skills for outdoor workers at trade level with industry recognised certificates.

On completion, students may articulate to the Diploma of Conservation and Land Management, the Diploma of Horticulture and the Diploma of Landscape Design.

Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to work as a crew member in the outdoor land management industry with certification in occupational health and safety (OHS), chainsaw operation, fire training, Auschem, ladder use, and small machinery.

Course structure

A total of 16 units of competency must be successfully completed, made up of two core and 14 elective units. Select at least six units from Certificate III in the AHC-endorsed Training Package. A maximum of eight units aligned to AQF levels 2, 3, or 4 may be selected from up to four endorsed Training Packages or Accredited Courses. Selected units must be relevant to job outcomes in AgriFood and related industries and must be chosen to ensure the integrity of the qualification outcome at AQF level 3.

Credit for prior study or work
