About this course

The Certificate III in Electronics and Communications gives students a broad background in electronics, with an emphasis on digital technology, gate array technologies and the application of microcontrollers, communications and analogue electronics. Students learn how to commission, test, evaluate and diagnose faults in electronic systems and associated apparatus.
 
Students gain additional qualifications as part of this course, including their White Card and Australian Communications and Media Authority open cabler registration, as well as training to apply for a restricted electrical worker's licence when they begin work.

Graduates will be expected to be able to work under limited supervision.

Course structure

Students are required to complete 14 core units (equalling 680 points) plus 380 elective points as prescribed by the training package rules.
